Staging Prostate Cancer
What occurs after prostate cancer is diagnosed?
Doctors may decide to run a few more tests after diagnosing a man with prostate cancer. The tests help the doctor to determine if the cancer has spread further than the prostate glands. The staging test, include the early-staging exams whereas it helps the doctor to regulate the spread of cancer and to ensure that it has not reached the tissues.
During the later-staging test, the doctor can determine other measures in treatment to take. These tests usually tell the doctor how aggressive the cancer has become.

Hormonal therapy is used in some instances. If the patient especially has undergone radiation therapy due to help problems then the doctor will recommend hormonal treatment.
