Nerve-sparing prostatectomy is the process whereas the doctor can save some of the nerves for erectile. If cancer has invaded the nerve or blood cells however, doctors will not use this surgery. Radical surgery increases the chance of producing erectile dysfunction, while this surgical procedure does not.
Laparoscopic surgery has some advantages. With this, procedure doctors cut smaller incisions during surgery. Postoperative pain after surgery is limited. This surgery is limited, since it has a technical demand.
Often when doctors consider surgery, they will consider other treatments as well. Some of the common treatments are radiation therapy. The purpose of this treatment is to attempt the process of eliminating the cancerous cells so that they do not spread further into the male’s body.
Radiation therapy often causes loss of hair, and other complications immediately after however. Some people believe that this therapy has caused more harm than good. In fact, most people agree that chemotherapy and radiation has been responsible for causing death sooner.
There is no real evidence to support such claims, but there are suggestions that this could be true.
