Girth enhancement involves injecting the penis with a material, usually silicone or fat from the patient, to achieve a larger penis. Fat is taken from the thighs or buttocks of the patient by liposuction, and injected into the spongy tissue of the penis. Another method is by grafting dermal fat from other body parts, and implanting them in the penis. These dermal fat tissues will heal and fuse with existing tissues in the penis, hence making it larger.

A common problem encountered by men who undergo this procedure is that when fat is injected into the penis, it eventually gets reabsorbed by the body. Taking tissues from other body parts also requires recovery time for those tissues. However, more men are satisfied with results of girth enhancement surgery as compared to lengthening surgery.

According to medical practitioners, there is no complete guarantee that penis enhancement surgery is safe. As of today, these procedures may cost anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000.
